Browski c'est le projet de Pablo aka Ewake et Thibault aka Eindringling, tous les deux membres du collectif Sub.Conscience et fondateurs du label Sub.Conscience records.

En janvier 2019, alors que la covid n'est pas encore présente en France ils décident de se confiner pendant sept jours dans une yourte en pleine nature. Collectant les synthétiseurs, boites à rythmes et bizarreries électroniques en tout genre pour une semaine de création musicale intense, laissant libre cours à l’inspiration et en explorant des contrées acoustiques et psychédéliques nouvelles.

Il en résultera notamment un morceau orienté Dubtechno, "Dub du Roi", avec ambiance sombre et rétro-futuriste, emmené par une basse puissante dans laquelle vous pourrez retrouver un extrait du fameux dessin animé de Paul Grimault, LE ROI ET L'OISEAU.

En samplant un passage épique de ce chef d'œuvre visionnaire, Pablo et Thibault nous plongent dans un univers dystopique qui semble faire écho à la réalité de notre époque.

Pour agrémenter ce morceau et développer cet univers dans un premier EP, mais désormais dans l'incapacité de se retrouver du fait du confinement, ils vont débuter un projet pour eux encore inédit: produire un morceau uniquement à distance, grâce à la technologie de partage d’écran et de prise de contrôle de l’ordinateur via internet. De cette expérience nouvelle nait le morceau « Sleeping City Dub » reflétant l’atmosphère calme mais inquiétante du printemps 2020 à travers une composition évolutive, tel un voyage nocturne au cœur d’une ville endormie…

Pour conclure cet EP et mettre l’accent sur le morceau éponyme « Dub du Roi », ils invitent Joh aka Lombric à prendre part à l'aventure, il propose un superbe remix deep et groovy avec une composition minimaliste et percutante comme à son habitude. Ewake & Eindringling produisent aussi chacun leur version du morceau, respectivement un remix aux touches mélancoliques pour Ewake, et une version plus Techno, jouée et arrangée en live avec machines et sampler pour Eindringling.

Afin de sortir le bijou de son écrin, Arure se charge du mastering dans son studio breton Kalvezer Ar Son, pour le plus grand plaisir de vos oreilles.

Ewake and Eindringling are both founder of Sub.Conscience records and members of the Collectif Sub Conscience. They joined forces to create the project Browski.

In january 2019, while Covid 19 hadn't make its way to France, they decided to lock themselves up for seven days in a mystical land far away from human conections in order to seek new acoustic and psychelic lands. Collecting synthetisers, samplers and drum machines, they let their inspirations overflow during long jam sessions and improvisations.

You can now enjoy a part of the result from theses days of self-confinement in the track "DUB DU ROI". This dark retro futurist dub techno track led buy a heavy bass showcases a sample from the Paul Grimault's notorious cartoon, "Le Roi et l'Oiseau". The sample from this visionnary masterpiece from 1980 encapsulate a dystopic mood that resonateS with our time.

With the will to develop this univers into an ep, but facing impossibility to meet in real life, the situation brought them to use new technologies to overcome isolation and produce the second track.
Reflecting the 2020's calm but disturbing spring through its evolving composition "Slleping city Dub" invites you to a journey into the night of a sleeping city.
To finaly enhance this ep with some remixes they invited Joh aka Lombric to be part of the adventure. He delivered deep and punchy remix, in his groovy and minimalistic typical aproach.
Ewake offers a dubby and melancholic version and Eindringling a live Techno interpretation as the crowning touch.

Mastering is done by Arure at Kalvezer Ar Son studio using mostly analog gears for the pleasure of your ears.
